Nick Williams
Board of Trustees Member

Known for being very active in all aspects of the community, from the government to volunteer organizations, Nick has earned a reputation for always making a positive impact. A member of the Neptune Township Town Council since 2015, Nick Williams is serving as the Mayor of Neptune Township for 2018.

Nick was also a member of the Neptune Board of Education,
commissioner of the Neptune Township Housing Authority, and was responsible for the training of and the accreditation of the Neptune Office of Emergency Management. He was on the Red Cross Rapid Response team for Monmouth and Ocean Counties and a member of the ANSWER Water rescue team who responds with a boat crew to all water incidents. Nick was also a member of the Lions Club and is still an active member of the Ocean Grove Citizens Patrol.

In 2008, the Mayor and Neptune Township Committee awarded Nick the “Volunteer Citizen of
the Year” Award. Governor Chis Christie selected him as one of his “Fifty New Jersey Heroes”
and was mentioned in his inaugural website for the program in 2010.

Nick is a lifelong resident of New Jersey and earned a B.A. in Education from Jersey City State
College. He worked for thirty-two years for the Hudson County Vocational Technical Schools
and retired as the Assistant Dean of Students. He more recently retired after twenty years of
service with the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority as the Officer in Charge of the
Security Department at Giants Stadium and Continental Ariana. Nick has owned boats since he was a teenager doing his boating mostly in the Barnegat Bay.

He moved to Shark River Hills 1991 where Nick and his wife raised a family. As an active
boater, Nick and his family have a love for the Shark River and the entire Jersey Shore.
Combining his enjoyment for boating and working with area youth groups with his interest in the community he is looking forward to helping FOBH where his experience will be of great benefit.

Even more, Nick’s leadership will play an important role in the development and successful
implementation of future plans.
